Monthly District 13 GSR Meeting Minutes

October 21st, 2009

Introductions were made around the room. The 10^th Tradition and 10^th Concept were read.

Jeanne reviewed the treasurer’s report. All were in favor of accepting the report.

There was a motion to forego regular business in order to proceed with elections. All were in favor with the exception of two people.

The position of Secretary still must be filled.

Congratulations to all and thank you for your service!

New Business:

PICPC: Tony has contacted other districts and states to learn that they have been putting literature racks out in various public places like hotels, restaurants, waiting rooms, ER’s, detoxes. He received posters (“Know someone in trouble?”) that could be placed in schools. There was a debate about whether or not this was promoting AA. An agreement was not made.

Alkathon: Steve reported that the Alkathon committee has obtained the Hudson Community Center again for this year’s festivities. Flyers are being produced and distributed along with food lists. Steve would like a cleaning crew to be formed. He also needs al list of all 78 meetings in District 13.

There was a motion to adjourn and all were in favor.
