Minutes Of District 13 GSR Meeting

                                                                 April 18th, 2007

 

 

There were 23 GSRs and friends of Bill’s present.

 

Meeting was opened at 7:00PM by Joyce C. with the Serenity Prayer.

 

Preamble was read by Mike. Tradition 4 by Leo. Concept IV by Gail.

 

A motion to forego the reading of the Secretary’s report was made by Rocky, Mike2nd, motion passed unanimously.

 

Treasurer’s Report: (Richard) read his report. Informed the group after all expenses were paid there was a balance of

 $98.21. A motion was made to accept the Treasurer’s by Rocky, 2nd by Gail.

 

DCM Report: (Joyce C.)  Joyce apologized for not updating the sign-sheets.

 She has invited a representative of the NECYPPA Convention Committee. There convention is being held December 28-30, 2007 at the Sheraton Nashua Hotel.

 Reminded everyone to start thinking about service positions for the 2008-2009 Elections – DCM, Treasurer, Secretary, & Registrar – and all chair positions.

 Reminded everyone AREA Assembly – Post Conference Assembly will be May 19th, 2007 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at St.Raphael’s Parish Hall Corner of 3rd & Ferry Sts. Manchester NH.

 

Alcathon: ( Michelle) Not Present

 

Corrections: (Rick) He attended the Correction meeting. They do have a new facillator for the YDC program. Her name is Sandy B. DCM for District 18. She is looking for volunteers, you may call her at 603-528-4743 or mail her at srb.4000@yahoo.com.

Women’s prison is still looking for volunteers .

 

Function Committee: (Andy) Open Microphone Night was being held April 21st, 2007.

“Pink Elephant” Auction & Bake Sale held March 24th was a success. After all expenses paid, the remainder of $486.00 was given to District 13.

 

The AA Mysteries Revealed Workshop held February 24th, 2007 had a profit of $88.00.

 

Flyers have been distributed to different groups for the Steps, Traditions & Spirituality workshop being held May 19th, 2007 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the Good Shepherd Church 214 Main St. Nashua, NH.

 

Grapevine: ( Lew) not present

 

Hotline: (Leo) has been trying to update the hotline list. Anyone whose name was on the list or if anyone wants to be added or deleted to the list please call him at 603-672-9260. A complaint was made regarding a person called and had someone hang up on them.

Leo said they try and rotate so that the same person is not called, however it is not always the way it happens. He will follow up for more information.

 

LCM-A (Rocky) had to step down because of his work schedule.

 

Newsletter: (Syd) apologized for not having a newsletter last month. Suggested to shorten the news letter, to consolidate it to one page. A motion was made to leave the newsletter as is. Regina also suggested to have a committee to help with the newsletter. Syd agreed she could use the help.

 

PI/CPC: (Dick M.) not present

 

Registrar: (Rachel) remind everyone to let her know of any group changes or new GSRs so that she update the meeting list books.

 

Treatment: (John) Farnum Center in Manchester is looking for speakers at the alumni meetings held on Tuesday nights. Southern NH West Campus Thursday nights 7 to 8 is looking for some alumni members that have 90 days or more sobriety to speak at the meeting.

 

Webmaster: (Mary C.) not present

New Business:  May Area Assembly & NRCYPAA XVII. Rick made a motion to send $98.21 to AREA 43, motion passed unanimously.
