DISTRICT 13 OF THE NEW HAMPSHIRE AREA ASSEMBLY

                          MINUTE OF THE GSR MEETING ON September 20th, 2006

 

 

The meeting was opened at 7:00PM by Joyce C. DCM with a moment of silence followed by the Serenity Prayer. There were 24 GSRs and friends of Bill  present.

 

Carol read the Preamble. Tradition 8 was read Dick. Concept 8 was read by John.

 

Secretary’s Report: (Jeanne) A motion was made by Dick not to read the Secretary’s report, 2nd by Andy.  Jim A. Opposed.

 

Treasurer’s Report: (Richard) Jeanne read the treasurer’s report. JohnL made a motion to accept, Debbie 2nd. Motion passed unanimously.

 

DCM Report:  (Joyce C.) Read the Area Report.

  New Area Officers approved by the August Assembly were Ken Lawson, Alternate Chair and Ann Hucksoll, Secretary.

  Area Assembly will be held November 18th (Saturday) from 8AM to 4PM. It will hold AREA INVENTORY ASSEMBLY hosted by District 13, Nashua.

 A new Spanish meeting in Manchester is looking for support. It is being held Sunday afternoons from 4 to 5PM at St. Augustine Church 383 Beech Street (in back)

 

Alkathon Report: (Michelle) Michelle was voted in as the new chairperson for the Alkathon. Several positions were filled, but volunteers are still needed. Starting in November the meetings will be every Thursday from 6PM to 7PM. Groups will also be notified to participate in the meeting schedules.

 

Corrections Report: (Rick)  Not present.

 

Function Committee: (Andy)  Andy thanked all those who participated in the workshop held September 9th

There was an attendance of  only 15. Fall Back Together  will be on October 21st, 2006, from 6:00PM to 12:00AM (4-6 Setup, 6-7 meeting, 7-8 food, 8-12 dance, 12-1 clean-up) Recommended donation $5.00.

Speaker meeting, potluck dinner, book raffles and door prizes, DJ-dancing. Until further notice the funstion committee is now meeting Thursday evenings 5:30 to 6:00 at the Church Of the Good Sheperd, 214 Main Street, Nashua.

 

Grapevine Report: (Lew) Not Present

 

Hotline Report:  (Leo)  Not present, Joyce asked for volunteers for the hotline.

 

Newsletter Report: (Syd) needs more info for the newsletter.

 

PI/PIC Report: (Dick M.) was going to a community awareness day October 14th. He will bring pamphets and also will be there to answer any quetions.

 

Registrar Report: (Rachel) Nothing to report

 

Treatment Report: (John)  Not Present

 

Webmaster (Mary C.) Not Present

 

LCM A: (Rocky) visited several meetings and updated them with current activities.

LCM B: Vacant

Old Business: Discussion on Al-Anon sharing the Alkathon Hall was shared with some of the groups and future discussion is still needed.  The new meeting on Thursday nights from 7 to 8 at the old Brookside Hospital is an open meeting. The early bird meeting at St. Joseph’s Hospital has changed it’s meeting format. The new hours are 6 to 7AM Monday through Friday and 6:30 to 7:30 on Saturdays. The meeting in now being held in the Carl Amelio room.
